Progress Toward Objectives

Objective 1: By the end of the project, 100 percent of project families will have significantly increased their income levels.

Livestock raising and vegetable farming have become major sources of income and have been adopted by the all participating project families.
Applying of improved animal management practices has improved the livestock quality as well as production.
Some project families have started poultry farms, grocery shops and other microenterprises using their SHG fund, resulting in increased income generation.
SHGs continuously undertake different activities to increase their group fund, which is used to make loans, funding even more income generating activities.
Increased income from multiple sources has been effective in improving the overall status of the project families; some have added assets.
SHGs are focusing their increased income on child education and health care facilities.
