Building a Future through Education and Technology strengthens a community learning space where children from vulnerable families explore technology, digital tools, and artificial intelligence beyond school. The project will expand a welcoming computer lab, reaching at least 50 children and their families, fostering curiosity, digital skills, and opportunities for a better future.
Children in vulnerable communities in Chinchina, Colombia have limited access to technology, digital education, and safe learning spaces beyond school. Many families cannot afford computers, internet, or guidance on responsible technology use. Currently, our learning space can serve only 15 children due to limited equipment, leaving many motivated children without opportunities to explore digital tools and artificial intelligence.
This project will expand a community computer lab, improving infrastructure, equipment, and connectivity to reach at least 50 children. Through guided sessions, children will learn basic computing, creative digital skills, responsible technology use, and introductory artificial intelligence. The program fosters curiosity and learning beyond school, while children share knowledge with their families, multiplying impact at home.
The project will reduce the digital divide by equipping children with essential digital and AI skills for the future. At least 50 children and their families will benefit, creating a ripple effect of digital literacy in the community. The computer lab will become a permanent learning hub that supports confidence, creativity, inclusion, and long-term educational and economic opportunities.
