Founded in 2004 in Chinchiná, Caldas, the Foundation works with a holistic approach that integrates emotional strengthening, capacity development, education, technology, and psychosocial support. We believe that sustainable change occurs when individuals are empowered not only with practical skills, but also with confidence, purpose, and access to opportunities that expand their vision of the future. Through our programs, we support women in building economic independence and personal resilience, while providing their children with safe and inspiring learning spaces beyond the traditional school environment. A core component of our mission is to reduce educational and digital gaps by introducing children and adolescents to technology, new digital tools, and artificial intelligence as instruments for learning, creativity, and future opportunities. Our educational spaces encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning, allowing children to explore knowledge that goes beyond the classroom and to understand technology as a positive force for personal and community development. By working with families as a whole, we seek to break cycles of poverty and exclusion, strengthen community bonds, and foster new generations capable of shaping their own life projects with hope and purpose. - Vision (2026) By 2026, Foundation Camino de Vida envisions itself as a recognized community hub for social innovation and inclusive education in Chinchiná, where technology, artificial intelligence, and human development converge to transform lives. We aspire to consolidate From Pencil to Pixel as a permanent and welcoming digital learning space-a fully equipped computer lab where children and adolescents can regularly access technology, discover new tools, applications, and emerging technologies, and develop a genuine love for learning and exploration. This space will function as a safe environment in which artificial intelligence is introduced as a practical and ethical tool to support education, creativity, problem-solving, and future career pathways. Our vision includes expanding the program's capacity to directly impact at least 50 children, despite current limitations in infrastructure that allow us to serve only 15. The impact will extend beyond individual participants, reaching their families and communities as children share knowledge, skills, and curiosity with siblings, relatives, and peers, multiplying the program's influence. By strengthening our technological infrastructure, ensuring stable connectivity, and sustaining a committed educational team throughout 2026, we aim to position From Pencil to Pixel (Del Lápiz al Pixel) as a reference model for community-based digital education. Ultimately, we envision empowered women, inspired children, and families equipped with the tools, confidence, and knowledge needed to build resilient futures in an increasingly digital world.
