World Educare Network offers to Build, Equip & Sustain a self-help Facility to Empower rural Youth, Women & other disadvantaged Individuals in Lira, Northern Uganda; a region still recovering from the past decades of armed conflicts. The Project extends basic and advanced multifunctional & Vocational Skills Development including Mentorship & Academia. At No Cost, we will engage directly at least 200 Beneficiaries each year & reshape future for the hopeless, as we; build competence and confidence
When Uganda fully lifted the COVID-19 lockdown in January 2022; we realized significant number of adolescent girls not returning to school due to teenage pregnancy. According to UNFPA, at least 644,955 teenage pregnancies were recorded during COVID-19 lockdown following the closure of schools, also; economic fragility, gender-based violence and other forms of vulnerabilities have since persisted. Sadly, teenage Mothers, Girls, Women & Youth within Northern Uganda have remained the most at risk.
In July 2022, we launched & kicked off activities for the; Child, Youth & Woman Skills Empowerment Embassy, a multifunctional Skilling Center located at Ayami-Agweng sub-County; this though is still a low-cost rented Facility but, purposefully serving this last mile community in Lira District, Northern Uganda. The Community of Ayami already offered an Hectare of Land upon which we expect to Build & Equip this Facility; to extend basic and advanced multifunctional & Vocational Skills Development.
At no cost, the Project is expected to directly engage at least 200 Beneficiaries each year, reshape future for the hopeless, as we; Build competency & confidence of the rural Women, Youth & child Mothers, discourage teenage Pregnancy & reduce cases of violence & abuse of rural Women, Girls & Children; Improve employability of Youth & active involvement through hands-on Skills empowerment programs, and; Improve income generation in rural communities & advance socio-economic transformation.
