Thank you from Lira, Uganda!
On a good note, our upgrade from the Sustainability Skills Center to Lira Vocational High School, has already rewritten stories of hope. Since the start of 2026, our school has fully employed 6 local staff and 2 management staff; up to 23 trainees enrolled in the 1st Cohort for Tailoring, Carpentry & Welding have since the transformed positively in employable skills.
Set for a brighter future ahead, through this skills empowered trainings, are child mothers, school drop outs, primary school leavers with no other education options, unemployed youth and poor young women; majority of whom are from families affected by the past decades of the armed conflicts in northern Uganda.
As we look forward to secure additional tools & training equipment including building the very first classrooms, we are specifically grateful for the generosity demonstrated by both our online givers like you and the inkind givers in Uganda.
We appeal to you to donate again, recommended our work to potential donors, family and friends, and if you can, share the GlobalGiving donation link through your social media space.
Together, we are winning already.
