“Final Days… The end is in our sight!”
Dear Donors,
What a privilege it has been to include you on the journey of some of the Grandmothers you see in this picture. Many of them have worked on the building project along side the construction laborers, working to see that their Women’s Center and Hostel will be completed.
I am grateful along with our Kenyan Project leaders that you have given towards such a worthwhile project in rural Kipsitet, Kenya. Our Project “Build A Women’s Center and Hostel for 150 Kenyan Grandmothers has been a labor of love and the baby has not been birthed yet. We are only experiencing labor pains!
As Project Leader and Executive Director of The Helen Project International, Inc it is my responsibility as Project Leader to be forthright informing you what has occurred since our last report to keep you abreast of the progress of the project. As you may recall we have reached the second floor level, yet there is still have more do to finish. We have received information that because of complications at the church compound which adjoins the building site, all construction has ceased until further notice.
As a result, I will be deactivating this project from GlobalGiving. With that said it is our hope that you will continue to keep praying for the Grandmothers, our leaders in the field who have diligently worked hard to see that your donations have been well used as donated. It is because we know you saw a need and had the desire to help us with this project, that you will be blessed. You have helped to create an environment for change and sustainability in an area where it is needed.
Grandmothers are still singing songs of praise for you our donors! Do I consider this a failed story? No, the end is still in our sight, and we will after this crisis is over shout for joy to what has been done! I am a strong believer that God will help our leaders have victory. Thank you, Asanta Sana!
