Project Report: Teenage Mothers Vocational Training Center (TMVTC)
The Teenage Mothers Vocational Training Center (TMVTC) remains a vital initiative at the heart of MaSe Foundation Uganda’s mission to empower young mothers in Kampungu village, Kalisizo town, Kyotera district. Designed to equip teenage mothers with vocational skills, reproductive health knowledge, and economic empowerment tools, the center was envisioned as a transformative space offering training in tailoring, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and child care.
Unfortunately, despite the strong community interest and clear need for such a facility, the project has not yet launched due to limited funding. The enthusiasm and readiness of the local community to engage with the center remain high, and MaSe Foundation continues to advocate for the resources necessary to bring this vision to life.
In the target area, the need for TMVTC is more urgent than ever. Teenage mothers face significant challenges, including school dropout due to stigma, poverty, and lack of support systems. These barriers often lead to long-term economic hardship, dependence, and increased vulnerability to gender-based violence. By providing access to skills training and education, TMVTC aims to break this cycle and offer a pathway to independence and dignity.
While we navigate these funding challenges, we remain committed and optimistic. We are actively seeking partnerships, grants, and donations to help us launch this much-needed center. The goal is clear: to empower young mothers with the tools they need to create better futures for themselves and their children.
We thank our supporters and community stakeholders for their continued belief in this project. Together, we can make the TMVTC a reality.
