At MaSe Foundation Uganda, we extend our sincere gratitude to you our donors for your continued support and belief in Building a Teenage Mothers Vocational Training Centre. Your generosity continues to give hope to young mothers in Kampungu, Kalisizo, who are striving to rebuild their lives after facing teenage pregnancy, school dropout, rejection, and social and economic hardship. These young women remain among the most vulnerable in our community. Many are raising children alone, without stable income, and with limited access to education or vocational opportunities. For them, the vision of this training centre continues to represent hope, dignity, and a pathway toward independence.

While significant planning, consultations, and conceptual development have taken place since the initial proposal, no physical construction or implementation work has yet begun. This delay is primarily due to limited funding availability, which has affected our ability to move from planning into execution. Although we continue to actively share the vision of the project and engage potential partners and supporters, the financial resources required to begin construction and operational setup have not yet been secured.

The need for a vocational training centre for teenage mothers in our community remains critical. Teenage pregnancy continues to lead to school dropout, economic dependency, stigma, and long-term vulnerability. Without access to skills training and empowerment opportunities, many young mothers remain trapped in cycles of poverty, with limited ability to provide for their children or reintegrate into education and work systems.

The proposed center is designed to address these challenges by offering practical, market, relevant vocational training such as tailoring, hairdressing, catering, computer literacy, and entrepreneurship, alongside life skills, financial literacy, and psychosocial support.

While we have not yet been able to begin construction, our commitment to this vision remains unchanged. We continue to actively seek funding opportunities, partnerships, and donor engagement to bring this project to life.We firmly believe that with the right support, this centre will become a sustainable space of transformation, helping teenage mothers gain independence, rebuild confidence, and create better futures for themselves and their children.

To all our donors, supporters, and partners, we sincerely thank you for standing with us even during this early and challenging stage of the project. Your belief in this vision is not in vain. Although progress has been slower than anticipated, your support continues to keep this dream alive and moving forward in preparation. We remain hopeful that together, we will soon move from vision to reality and open the doors of opportunity for the many teenage mothers who are waiting for a second chance.

Your generosity is not only funding activities, but also restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and renewing hope for teenage mothers who once felt forgotten. Without your support, many of these young mothers would still be trapped in cycles of poverty, stigma, and limited opportunity. In Kampungu Kalisizo the community where our work is based, teenage pregnancy has led to a lot of school dropout, family rejection, social isolation, and economic hardship. For these young women, hope feels distant.

The construction of a vocational Training Center for these teenage mothers will serve as a safe, supportive space where young mothers can acquire practical, income-generating skills and rebuild their confidence. The center will provide training in areas such as tailoring and fashion design, hairdressing and beauty therapy, baking and catering, computer literacy, entrepreneurship, and other hands-on vocational skills relevant to the local job market. Beyond technical skills, the center will also offer: Life skills and personal development training, financial literacy and savings education, mentorship and counselling services, parenting support and childcare guidance, basic health and reproductive education.

This holistic approach will ensure that beneficiaries do not just learn a trade, but they gain the tools needed to become independent, resilient, and confident members of society. When a teenage mother gains skills and stable income, her child is more likely to attend school, receive proper nutrition, and grow up in a stable environment. In this way, the impact of this center will extend far beyond individual beneficiaries, it will uplift entire families and communities.

While we have made meaningful progress in putting our heads together on policy plans of setting up this center, significant financial support is still urgently needed to bring this vocational training center to life. Funds are required for land development, construction, training equipment, learning materials, staffing, and operational costs during the initial phase. We remain actively engaged in fundraising efforts and partnership building to make this vision a reality. Every contribution large or small moves us closer to opening the doors of this center to the many hopeful teenage mothers waiting for an opportunity.

Our goal is not simply to construct a building, but to establish a sustainable institution that will serve generations of young mothers. We are also exploring partnerships with local businesses, community leaders, and vocational experts to ensure the center operates effectively and creates real employment pathways for graduates.
