This is the month of May project report.   Rural Children’s Hope is hereby acknowledging the receipt of ZMW 3,176.75 equivalent ($ 262) on 30th April 2019.

On behalf of the RCH  Executive, I would like to say thank you to all our partners through Global giving for supporting our school construction project.

The money received will be used to start a new foundation for the one by three classrooms block which kick-started this week. This has boosted the morale of pupils, teachers and the community at large as it gives them hope into solving the issue of shortage of classrooms at yamasinda RCH Community School.

The demarcation and digging of the foundation box for the new school block.

The above is done by the bricklayer with the help of community leaders makes teaching the grade ones outside because of a shortage of classrooms at Nyamasinda RCH Community School

Your support has changed the lives of many children learning in the rural Nyamasinda community!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings
Find bellow our February progress update report:

This is our February 2019 progress update report highlighting how, we have managed to furnished Nyamasinda RCH Community School .

Project  Title:

Build 1x4 classroom block for 300 pupils in Zambia

Thank You

The Nyamasinda RCH School’s pupils and their parents thank you for making our dream come true and for your continued donations.

Progress Made

As shown in the picture below, some of our students are now able to sit on desks and learn in a conducive atmosphere. Unfortunately, the majority is still waiting for the construction of additional classrooms. Three more classrooms to come…

If we can get even a $ 3000, we will be able to start the foundation of another classroom.

This brief report gives you a highlight of how, with the help of the community members, we have managed complete the school infrastructure.

Looking at the fact that the raised funds could not help us complete the project, we decided to complete only the head teacher's office and one classroom. Our Great Community had put in its best, to give their children a place to study in.

With the assistance of our community and locally raised funds, we have managed to plaster office and classroom and paint it. Pupils are now using this classroom for their classes.

This project has made us work very closely with the pupils and their parents, in view of achieving a common goal. Though not completed as per our expectation, at least we have made a difference in the community.

The project has been very interesting!

The construction works at our Nyamasinda RCH school is greatly appreciated by both the learners, their parents and the teaching staff. Everyone is putting his hands to the works.

Besides the funds that we received from our 10 donors and which helped us achieve what is being reported in our progress update (see report),   we managed to gather additional materials (in kind donations from 2 local donors ( of 32 irons sheets) )and ship them to the construction site. These additional materials will help us roof the current class block.

The received funds helped us procure the roofing materials, the window frames and pay for the labour. I will be good if we could have additional donors to help us complete it fully and put a smile on the faces of our learners.
