Clean Water Access for 37 Families in Tharparkar, Sindh
Project Title: Provide Safe Drinking Water to Rural Communities in Pakistan
Report Date: May 2025
Location: Tharparkar, Sindh
We are delighted to share the successful completion of another vital water project in one of Pakistan’s most water-deprived regions—District Tharparkar, Sindh.
Through your generous support, Alkhidmat Foundation has installed a Community Hand Pump in a remote village, providing safe, clean drinking water to 37 families who previously relied on unsafe and distant water sources.
A Lifeline for Desert Communities
Tharparkar is one of the most arid regions in Pakistan, where families—especially women and children—must walk several kilometers daily to fetch water. This hand pump installation not only brings water closer to home but also significantly improves:
Health: Reducing waterborne diseases.
Time: Saving hours previously spent collecting water.
Dignity: Providing families with basic human dignity through access to clean water.
This new facility is more than just a hand pump—it’s a source of life, hope, and sustainability for the entire community.
"We thank Alkhidmat and the donors who made this possible. For us, this hand pump means our children can drink clean water and our women are safe from traveling long distances."
—Local Resident, Tharparkar
Why It Matters
In rural Pakistan, especially in Tharparkar, clean water is still a dream for many. With your continued support, we aim to install more water projects to ensure every family has access to this basic right.
Make a Bigger Impact
This hand pump was made possible because of your belief in our mission. Let’s continue to create real change together:
