Project Report: New Small Hand Pump Installed in Village Mohib Alai Anar, Sanghar – Sindh! Update Summary

We are delighted to announce the successful installation of a small hand pump in Village Mohib Alai Anar, Sanghar – Sindh, made possible through the generous support of our GlobalGiving donors. This vital initiative will now provide reliable access to clean and safe drinking water for over 140 individuals, transforming daily life in the village.

Story of Change

Before the pump was installed, residents—especially women and children—had to walk long distances under the scorching sun to fetch water, often from unsafe sources. Now, clean water is just a few steps away.

One villager shared:

“We no longer have to worry about drinking dirty water or spending hours fetching it. This pump is life-changing for our families.”

For children, this means more time in school and less time carrying heavy water containers. For families, it means improved health, hygiene, and dignity.

Use of Funds / Progress

Your donations were used to:

• Procure and install a high-quality small hand pump

• Conduct water quality checks to ensure safe consumption

• Train local residents in basic pump maintenance for sustainability

Future Plans / Next Steps

We aim to replicate this project in nearby villages facing similar water challenges. By expanding access to clean water, we can reduce waterborne diseases and improve the overall quality of life in rural Sindh.
