Summary

Talia Women's Network is launching the Girl Power Express - a mobile dignity van that brings menstrual products and education directly to vulnerable girls and women in remote communities. This van will allow us to reach areas where services are scarce, ensuring that every girl has the supplies and support she needs to manage her period safely and with confidence. The van will help reduce school absenteeism, improve confidence and ensure girls can manage their periods with dignity.

Challenge

In many rural communities, girls miss school or suffer in silence because they cannot afford menstrual products. Others use unsafe alternatives that put their health at risk. Without transportation, it is difficult for our team to consistently reach these communities or respond to urgent needs. As a result, too many girls face preventable barriers to their education, dignity and well-being.

Solution

Your support will help us purchase the Girl Power Express van, enabling us to deliver pads, hygiene kits and menstrual health information directly to girls who would otherwise go without. The van will also serve as a mobile learning space where girls can ask questions freely, receive guidance and learn about their bodies in a supportive environment. With reliable transport, we can expand our reach, increase the number of girls served and deliver supplies consistently throughout the year.

Long-Term Impact

When girls have access to menstrual products and information, they stay in school, avoid infections and feel more empowered. Over time, this project will help reduce stigma around menstruation, improve health outcomes and create opportunities for girls to thrive. By investing in the Girl Power Express, you are helping build a future where no girl is left behind simply because of her period.
