Bridging the Gaps in our Agricultural sector is a first of its kind Project that is aimed at addressing all the urgently needed gaps in our agricultural progress as a nation. First and for most, 65% of most sold raw food products on the Ghanaian market are heavily imported. This Project will include both vegetables, crops & fruits farming, fish farming and animals farming all combined plus a research Lab for both plants and animals. We will turn raw products into ready packaged foods from farms
The problem is that most of the raw natural food crops on the local Ghanaian market are imported therefore causing alot of price increase which affects millions of most low to middle income families. Again 75% of our university graduates do not respect agriculture and wants office and computer jobs only. Banks are not prepared to give loans to farmers and there are countless legal battles over land ownerships in Ghana so people are even afraid to go into farming. We will add value to raw product
This project will ensure that we grow a whole variety of vegetables, crops and fruits to meet the local market demands to beat the current prices. We are combining all aspects of agriculture from crops farming to animals farming and fish farming. We will buy food processing machines to turn raw harvested produce into fried chips, dried foods, sausages and purees for storage in cold rooms, local market sales and exports as well. We will also encourage alot of young graduates especially girls.
This project will ensure the continues aboundance of food on our local markets at very cheap and affordable prices. This will help stabilize our economy and currency by stopping the massive importation of raw food produce in large quantities. And we shall encourage most young graduates to join. We shall use climate smart technologies and good irrigation systems. Our research lab will test fertilizers before applications at farm and we will prevent food wastage by adding value to raw food.
