Quarterly Project Impact Report
Introduction
We are thrilled to share our progress and impact from the past three monthsa period filled with growth, learning, and opportunity, all made possible by your generous support. Each of you has contributed to real change for our students, and we are excited to keep you updated on how your donations are making a difference.
Increased Support, Increased Impact
Thanks to new donations from both existing and new community members, our reach has doubled. A special mention goes to Abena Baiden, a cherished member of our community, whose outreach efforts introduced our mission to new supporters who joined in her honor. This increased support allowed us to start the academic year with essential educational resources, providing books and supplies to over 800 students. For many, these resources have been critical to staying in school, especially for girls at risk of dropping out due to a lack of educational essentials.
Preventing Learning Loss and Empowering Girls
This quarter, the distribution of educational supplies has prevented learning loss for students whose families struggle to afford basic educational materials. By providing these essentials, we have helped to prevent the usual spike in dropout ratesparticularly for girls, who face a greater risk of early marriage if they are forced to leave school. With these resources, they can continue their studies and build a foundation for a brighter future.
Hands-On Learning: Technology Skills for the Future
As part of our commitment to equip students with 21st-century skills, we engaged five schools in workshops on emerging technologies, including drone piloting, robotics assembly, coding with Micro:bit and interactive science lessons using Merge Cube. These workshops are help bridge the gender gap in technology and inspiring girls to see themselves as future innovators. In the past, many of our girls saw these fields as maledominated, but hands-on participation has helped reshape that perspective, boosting their confidence and skills.
Empowering Teachers Alongside Students
These workshops also provided invaluable training for teachers, enhancing their technology skills so they can better support students in learning and exploring technology. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with teachers expressing appreciation for the opportunity to develop their abilities and improve their support for students.
Conclusion
Thank you once again for your incredible support. Your donations are not only providing vital educational resources but also inspiring students and teachers alike. Additionally, GlobalGiving will be holding a matching campaign on December 3rd, 2024, where every donation receives a bonus, doubling its impact. We look forward to keeping you updated on our journey to empower young learnersespecially girlsand to help close the technology gap in education.
