This project will help provide more assistance to brilliant but needy pupils who are increasing facing a lot of challenges in the education ; help improve the academic performance of about 600 pupils from 10 remote selected schools in the Shama district, Western Region of Ghana to help curb school dropout and teenage pregnancy with emphasis of the girl child and also promote and encourage teachers who are posted to those remote areas to accept their offers and positively impact the children
According to the Shama District Education Public Relation officer (P.R.O). Mr. Emmanuel Mensah Tornigah, the district (Shama) in the Western Region of Ghana, presented a total of 1,540 candidates in 2014, from which 1,072 failed. He added that fourteen (14) could not write due to pregnancy and absenteeism. In effect, the students in the district perform poorly the Examinations. The problem affects everyone in the community and the whole community will benefits if we implement this project
We provide financial assistance to brilliant but needy in the remote areas who have an equal to opportunity to life but due to economical constraints cant progress . This project hope to solve the problem of poor performance in Basic Education Examination Certificate, research from the district have shown that pupils are failing and this means more children will be on the streets, teenage preganancies are alarming and social vices are also on the increase. This project will provide a lifeline
We will educate and improve the performance of about 600 pupils, allowing them to secure a future rid of poverty. The would be skilled and knowledgeable to effect changes in their community. It will go a long way to help curb school drop out, teenage pregnancies which is on the high alert in the community and decrease the chances of pupils being drawn to bad company and social vices. This will also promote schooling in these villages and provide a platform help brilliant but needy children
