Aldeias Infantis SOS Brazil in Lauro de Freitas, we are developing a training program in computer science and programming for adolescents and young people from the local community, with a focus on strengthening technical skills and promoting digital inclusion. The initiative will support 10 participants over the course of nine months of continuous activities.
More than teaching computer and programming skills, this initiative aims to contribute to the holistic development of young people. The activities are designed to spark curiosity, build self-confidence, and expand their perspectives, preparing them to face the challenges of the job market and social life.
As part of our commitment to youth protection and empowerment, we also promote talking circles and educational dynamics that, in a playful and accessible way, address essential topics such as rights, citizenship, digital safety, and healthy relationships. We believe that understanding one’s rights and knowing where to seek help are key steps for adolescents and young people to feel safe, respected, and empowered to act when facing situations of risk. By strengthening this knowledge, we help build critical awareness and ensure effective access to protection channels, fostering autonomy and youth leadership in advocating for themselves and others.
Thank you for standing with us and helping make a difference in the lives of those we serve!
