Children around the world are growing up without the care and protection they need. In Brazil since 1967, SOS Children's Villages offered alternative care to thousands of children and young people and families supported. We work to keep families together, support young people on their path to independence and defend the rights of children. Everything we do is possible thanks to the generous support of donors and sponsors, institutional and corporate partners and loyal friends around the world.
Today, there are more than 30,000 children in alternative care in Brazil. These children have been removed from their families for cases of rights violations and are cared for by organizations such as Aldeia Infantil SOS. Children who are under SOS' alternative care are given food, shelter, clothing, education and every available opportunity to promote their development and path to success. It's hard work, recognized around the world and only possible with the support of sponsors and donors.
Our loyal partners believe in promoting good in society means living life blissfully with respect, love, humility, and empathy for one another. For that reason, our partner Mauricio Matos, author of "The Blissbump Society" has written this book and will donate part of the proceeds to support the work of SOS Children's Village in Brazil. The book is a call to act on promoting a more generous and collaborative society, just like the mission of the organization.
The proceeds from the book will support SOS' programs in Brazil, specially to ensure proper care for children and adolescents in alternative care. The funds raised with this campaign will help provide better nutrition, cover running costs in the homes and help to support educational supplies as needed. The integral care offered by SOS will give these children the opportunities to build their future.
