Under the project biochar bringing toxic land back to live the purpose is to collect adequate agro waste which will be used to produce biochar in a large qutiantity that will be sufficiently enough for toxic land reclamation into arable land . That is to convert toxic and degraded land back to arable for farming ; produce cocoa and coffee seedlings for replanting by the local communities whose life and land are adversely affected by ellegal mining and degradation that threatened their livelihood and ecoexistence. We could not fundraise enough funding to implement this project.
During the reporting period our team was able to facilitate the collecttion of some biomass including corn cobs and diseased and dead cocoa trees to produce biochar and store towards the hope of getting sufficient funding from our generous donors to facilitate the implimentation of this cllimate, enviromental, food and income security project with the communities.
We thanked our generous donors for their kind support and continous support to implement this very important project. ASA Initiative Team is thankful for your generous donations and kind heart for the successful implementation of this project.
