Many low-income communities in rural Nepal lack reliable access to safe water and proper washing facilities. This project will install 21 deep bore-well water systems with pumps, storage tanks, drinking taps, handwashing and ablution points, and safe drainage. The systems will serve at least 4200 people and will be accessible without discrimination. Each site will be selected through a local needs assessment, and the water will be tested for safety and quality.
Many rural communities in Nepal still lack reliable access to safe and sufficient water. Schools, mosques, and community centers may also lack proper drinking-water points, handwashing areas, and ablution facilities. This situation places an additional burden on women, children, elderly people, and low-income families.
