Thanks to our generous donors, the association was able to launch two new workshops recently! This is the case of Mélanie, who is now working in two hemato-oncology departments of the hospital in Dunkirk for one year.
Mélanie says: "Being a socio-aesthetician allows me to combine my passion for aesthetics with a more humanistic approach: taking care of people going through a difficult period of life in a different way, with kindness and empathy. Being attentive to the needs, available, patient and comforting, all these values allow me to put the other person in the first place in order to bring him/her well-being and valorization. This is a job where I give a lot but I receive so much! "
Supportive care is for both women and men. They take care of the consequences of cancer and its treatments. The socio-aesthetician's advice is designed to help compensate for the transformations undergone by the body and regain self-esteem.
Many other workshops are in the works to help patients heal better.
A session costs an average of $50: make a difference for patients now!
