With the ongoing economic crisis, it has become extremely difficult for students in Lebanon to continue their education. After the success of last year's project, URDA is relaunching the Back to School Emergency Campaign for this school year. We aim to support students to continue their education journey by providing them with student sponsorships, school bags and stationary, and transportation support.
Because of the economic crisis, there is an alarming increase in dropout rates due to the extended pandemic closures and the need for additional income among families impoverished by the crisis. 47% of families in Lebanon have stopped their children's education as they struggle to earn a living.
This project will provide students with student sponsorships that will help cover their tuition fees, bags and school supplies to make sure they have everything they need for the school year, and transportation support to give students the ability to go to school.
This project will help in maintaining a normal proportion of students enrolled in schools & universities and lowering the rate of school & university student dropouts and high child labor in Lebanon. This project will help them reach their goals and dreams.
