When the COVID-19 pandemic struck the indigenous communities in Chinchero, Peru, we created the Ayni Relief Fund to help support their needs within the community. With your help and generosity, we raised significant funds for the Ayni people. The concept of Ayni, fundamental to the culture in Chincero, is based on reciprocity: if you help me, I will, in turn, help you. This cultural patrimony is needed everywhere today.
3 Generations is an advocate for all of those afflicted by human rights atrocities. We make films about critical social justice issues: genocide, sex trafficking, Native American justice, refugees, ecocide, veterans, and criminal justice. In our first 15 years, we produced ten documentary features, 13 short documentary films, and hundreds of short videos telling powerful survivor stories. Through film, we enable those to record their experiences as an act of healing, a call to action, and historical evidence for future generations. We have been documenting these stories with the goal of influencing the national dialogue and building momentum for social change.
Our work has shown us how crucial it is to provide a platform for those in need. We will continue providing a platform and hope you continue to be a part of our 3G community.
Please support 3 Generations as we complete another successful year of hearing stories and demanding change. For information or to support our other GlobalGiving projects, visit our website, follow us on social media @3_generations, and follow us on Instagram @3_generations. Thank you.
