In the past three months, we’ve continued working toward Armath’s 2026 focus: expanding both the reach and the depth of our impact.
Armath Techno Camp 2026
This summer, 133 children from Armenia and diaspora came together in Dilijan for the nine-day Armath Techno Camp. Participants learned to write code, assemble circuits, and bring their own robots to life, and they built their first flying devices after learning the basics of aerodynamics. The program also included hiking, sports, traditional Armenian song and dance, and evenings around the campfire. The camp ended with a robotics competition in which participants guided their robots through an obstacle course. The turnout reflects the sustained interest in this kind of hands-on experience.
A New School Year Begins
In September, Armath makerspaces welcomed students back for a new year of learning. Newcomers are taking their first steps in programming, building their own games and animations from scratch. Returning students are deepening their skills across the full curriculum, from robotics and 3D modeling to community-focused projects.
Better Equipped for Learning
We continued improving our makerspaces this quarter, bringing new equipment and materials into several labs.
ArmRobotics 2026: A Record Year
We launched ArmRobotics 2026, the 18th annual national autonomous robotics championship organized by UATE. This year’s theme is “Smart Robots in the AI Factory.” Teams must build robots that make decisions and operate in conditions close to a real industrial environment, from GPU failures to fire detection. A record 180 teams, more than 720 teens, applied.
Alumni Making an Impact
Graduates of the Armath makerspace in Karchaghbyur, now university students and Armath instructors, presented their startup Water2Data (River2Sevan) at the Seaside Startup Summit. The project uses IoT technology to measure water quality and proposes environmentally safe ways to prevent pollution of Lake Sevan.
