A special Meeting

Margaret, Alicia and the Twins
Margaret, Alicia and the Twins

Lucia and Anna are twins, they are 5 years old and they attend to Santa Rosa, a catholic school located in the city of Santa Fe. From January 2016 has entered into their lives Margaret, their Canadian solidarity godmother that decided to attend the Padrinos Solidarios program to contribute to the education of children living in a situation of social vulnerability.

In November, Margaret popped into Argentina and devoted an entire morning to visit the girls' school, where she met Lucia, Anna and their mother, Alicia. It was a magical encounter, the girls received in gift stamps, markers and coloring books. Alicia described Marghetita the difficult situation in which her family lives, how young she was when she became mother of two older brothers of the twins, and the effort she makes every day with her partner to ensure a good education to her children.

Margaret told her about her life in Canada: her work in a big studio of design, her activities afterwork, the beautiful parks she could visit, the tipical meals compared with argentinean ones, and the cold winter weather. Alicia could not believe that winter could be so hard!

In this way they knew each other, shere cultures and grow togheter. It was a special meeting for all of them, since they understand that there are relations that overcame barriers, that people can be supportive and interested in the good of others.

Margaret returned to Canada enthusiastic and invited several friends to participate in the program Padrinos Solidarios, where a person helps a child living in conditions of social vulnerability through a minimum economic contribution and a emotional accompainment that exceeds all boundaries: geographical, social and cultural.

Thank you to be part of this wonderful experience.
