ANASA Program Report | October 2024

This quarter, the ANASA program rose to meet an urgent need in the wake of devastating wildfires that swept through Northeast Attica. While the flames may have subsided, the scars they left on vulnerable families and single-parent households run deep. True to our mission, ANASA stepped in to provide essential support, offering a beacon of hope amidst the ashes.

Our Social Service team worked tirelessly to identify and assess families whose homes and livelihoods were impacted by the fires. We focused on providing immediate relief in the form of:

  • Emergency shelter and temporary housing: Ensuring families had a safe place to stay while they began the long road to recovery.
  • Food and essential supplies: Distributing vital resources like food, water, clothing, and hygiene products to meet basic needs.

Despite the challenges, we continued to grow our support network. We are proud to share that over 20 new families have joined the ANASA program. These families are now receiving ongoing monthly support, empowering them to rebuild their lives with dignity.

As summer drew to a close, we turned our attention to the children in our program. Recognizing the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty, we provided over 100 children with backpacks and essential school supplies. This initiative ensured that these children could start the school year with confidence, ready to learn and thrive.

None of this would be possible without your generous support. Your contributions have enabled ANASA to provide a lifeline to families in crisis, offering not just material aid, but also hope and a path towards a brighter future.

As we move forward, we remain committed to providing comprehensive support to the families in our program.

With your continued support, we are confident that we can make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable families in our community.
