Our efforts to manage Persons with Disabilities in tight pandemic conditions is not only challenging but also a test on our resilience. This is an opportunity to discover our own unknown potential and stay ahead.
Amar Seva Sangam started distributing essential relief materials and COVID related protection kit to 1600+ families of Persons with Disabilities in our region since 1st May 2020. This is done to every family of the PwDs once in every10 days in rotation, through our field workers who are rendered without work due to the lockdown, serving the twin purposes of catering to the basic needs of the PwDs and also keep the field workers engaged in work. The families of PwDs feel it as a boon conferred on them by the Sangam as they are in dire need of these relief materials, not only for their livelihood but also to protect themselves hygienically. They are very much appreciative of the awareness materials and counselling given to them by our field workers. They are thankful to the Sangam for taking this additional care of them besides addressing to their disability issues.
We need your continued support and blessings for all our initiatives. In this critical time, we need more funds to meet the additional expenses towards fighting the effects of the pandemic. We need to pay the salaries for the staff and meet the administrative costs besides the program costs.
