IOM Ghana recaps activities of the fourth quarter (October to December 2022) in the latest newsletter in collaboration with the Government of Ghana, UN in Ghana agencies, and other partners to support and advance migration governance, strengthen border security, assist migrants and returnees, and promote safe migration - ensuring that no migrant is left behind.

Some highlights of the quarter:

• Health equipment was donated to Government of Ghana to strengthen public health emergency response at land borders
• A regional workshop was hosted in Niger on integrated governance and cooperative border management in Sahel and Gulf of Guinea Countries
• Border security issues being addressed through community engagement in the Upper East region 
• National Referral Mechanism for protection, return and reintegration of migrants in the making
• Six reintegration projects bring job opportunities to communities in the Bono and Bono East Regions 
• Business development trainings and psychotherapy sessions ensure sustainable reintegration of returnees
• IOM & Government of Ghana reunited survivors of trafficking with their families in Nigeria
• Renewed commitment to environment and migrant friendly future 
• Returnee farmers were trained in environmentally friendly farming practices
• In-person pre-departure orientation for refugees were resumed 
• UN Agencies commemorated 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
