Message from the Director
We have entered the month of May, a time filled with celebrations and meaningful activities. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all mothers, and especially to our Heavenly Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. How many wonderful things happen at VIFAC through the intercession of Our Lady! With tender care, she watches over every woman and every baby, inspires hearts to accompany and care for others as she does, and sustains all who seek refuge in her loving embrace with the strength of her maternal love.
During this month, as we also celebrate teachers, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers who serve as dedicated instructors at VIFAC in a wide variety of disciplines: embroidery, knitting, makeup artistry, childbirth preparation classes, catechism, cooking, academic tutoring, human development, life skills, philosophy for life, and affectivity and sexuality education (Forming Hearts), among others.
We are equally grateful to our consultants, who, together with our teachers, act as mothers, mentors, and guides for the women we serve. When thinking of all of you, I am reminded of words spoken by Pope Leo during his recent trip to Africa:
"Your presence brings to mind incense: a glowing grain that spreads its fragrance because it gives glory to the Lord and brings joy and comfort to so many brothers and sisters. That incense is a small yet precious element; it is not at the center of attention, but it invites us to lift our hearts to God, encouraging one another to persevere through the difficulties of the present time."
You are that incense. You may not be at the center of attention, and your presence at VIFAC may seem small, yet you spread joy and comfort, inspiring others to persevere through life's challenges.
Thank you very much for all that you do, and please continue supporting VIFAC with hope and generosity.
