A new life is a new chance for pregnant women

Thank you so much for all these months of great support to VIFAC!

We would like to tell you about the families we host in our house and the great Impact you create in their lives. 

They are all mothers with their children who have arrived with us after experiencing overly complicated situations of violence or abandonment. They seek help and protection. 

Thanks to your generosity, they have experienced a life-changing Summer at VIFAC. It has been a long road of learning for them; they have recovered their dignity and desire to live. They have learned to get along together and share. They have grown in such a way that they are now able to make better decisions in their lives.

In September everyone returns to their classes at VIFAC. The children return to their school activities and, their mothers to training workshops and school classes to earn elementary, middle, or high school diplomas. The mothers also continue receiving counseling to better plan for their families and their own future. Our goal is to achieve an environment free of violence for them and their children.

With your support, you are being part of the solution to the issue of unplanned pregnancy in poor and abandoned woman!

¡Muchas  gracias por estos meses de apoyo! 

En esta ocasión quiero contarte sobre las familias que tenemos en nuestra casa-hogar: son mamás con sus hijos que han llegado después de experimentar situaciones muy complicadas de violencia o abandono y que requerían de nuestra ayuda y resguardo. Gracias a tu apoyo, ellos han vivido un verano en VIFAC lleno de actividades divertidas y de aprendizaje.

Para todos ellos ha sido un largo camino de muchos aprendizajes: han recuperado su dignidad y las ganas de vivir, han aprendido a convivir y a compartir. Han crecido en libertad. 

En septiembre todos vuelven a sus clases: los niños regresan a sus actividades escolares y sus mamás a los talleres de capacitación, clases de regularización escolar y a la consultoría para planear su proyecto de vida y de familia de modo que, con mucha ilusión, den el siguiente paso para crear ese ambiente libre de violencia para ellas y sus hijos. 

Ante el problema del embarazo inesperado, de las mujeres y niños en situación de pobreza y abandono….

Thank you for all these months of support! Your donations have meant a lot to our pregnant women and even their families!

Today, I want to introduce you Sofia, she's a 12-year-old girl that came here accompanying her pregnant sister. They both came to VIFAC when the Prosecutor's office decided they were better away from home, so to keep them together and make everything easier to her sister, we offered to receive them both. 

While Sofia's sister has been taking all the workshops offered for the pregnant women at VIFAC, Sofia has been taking regularization classes, emotional and psychological therapy, and other courses related to her development and a lot of happy moments with her new friends.

To Sofia, it’s been a long journey since she arrived to VIFAC with a bad attitude and not knowing how to control her feelings and emotions. Here, she’s made new friends, is closer to her sister and is learning how to navigate her emotions in a healthy way, and she’s learning to read and write!

We feel very proud that, with your support, we are able to help both sisters and to know that we made a huge positive impact in their lives. Thank you!

¡Muchas gracias por estos meses de apoyo! Tus donaciones significan mucho para nuestras mujeres embarazadas e ¡incluso para sus familias!

Hoy, te quiero presentar a Sofia. Es una niña de 12 años que vino acompañando a su hermana embarazada. Ambas llegaron a VIFAC cuando Fiscalía del Estado decidió que estarían mejor fuera de su casa; para mantenerlas juntas y hacer la situación menos difícil para su hermana, nos ofrecimos a recibirlas juntas. 

Mientras la hermana de Sofía participa en los talleres ofrecidos para las mujeres embarazadas en VIFAC, Sofia ha estado tomando clases de regularización escolar, terapia psicológica y emocional y otros cursos relacionados a su desarrollo, y muchos momentos de felicidad junto a sus nuevas amigas.

Para Sofia ha sido un largo camino ya que llegó  a VIFAC con mala actitud y sin saber como controlar sus sentimientos y emociones. Aqupi, ella ha hecho nuevas amigas, es más unida con su hermana y esta aprendiendo a navegar sus emociones de forma sana, ¡y está aprendiendo a leer y escribir!

Nos sentimos muy orgullosos de que, con tu apoyo, podemos ayudar a ambas hermanas y de saber que hemos tenido un gran impacto positivo en sus vidas. ¡Muchas gracias!
