A new life is a new chance for pregnant women

As important as our work is, nothing could be possible without our team, and Today we would like to present to you, Raquel:

“I have been working at VIFAC Guadalajara for 13 years. I feel very grateful and blessed with this job as it makes me feel more human and gives me the chance to be able to help women in need. 

I am very happy in my job and always try to give my best effort. 

I am VERY GRATEFUL to be here!”

Raque is the person responsable for receiving every new mom-to-be, gives her room, clothing and vitamins so that her stay with us goes as smoothly as possible while also creating a loving environment and cordiality in the house. 

She also gives training to the moms-to-be so that they can fulfill their responsibilities and keep up with the schedule of order and cleaning of the house.

We at VIFAC are very excited to share all the activities that have been going on during this time. During the month of August we had two health days on behalf of pregnant women, we interviewed 40 moms-to-be and explained to them the process and help they would receive, including orientation and information about the services we offer on site. 

During this process, we noticed there is a need for psychological attention, raising awareness of the importance of medical check-ups during pregnancy, ultrasounds and multivitamins.

Throughout these days, we offered doctors appointments in which the moms-to-be got their pressure taken, weighted, got an ultrasound and got asked about overall wellbeing for treatment. At the end of it, they were given basic food to help with a proper and nutritious feeding during the pregnancy and a newborn kit to commemorate them finding out if their baby is a boy or a girl.

It is an honor for VIFAC to be able to support these moms-to-be and help them how we can, but we know our work doesn’t end here and we shall continue to take action towards making sure all moms-to-be have access to their health rights.

HEY WE WANT TO THANK YOU

2023 has been a succes for us, we are serving 48 women and their children, providing them with better oportunities to work and get ahead thier family, choosing an entreperneurship or a better job offer.

Also we have singned agreements with differen municipalities in the state of Jalisco in order to provide more help to pregnant women in vulnerable situations.

this help us to reach more women and families who need us, as well as provide support to women externally and help them to have a healthy pregnancy
