This project is ready to begin—and your support can make it happen.
Even though we are at the early stages of this project and have not yet received our first donations, we are already laying the groundwork to make this library a meaningful and lasting space for children living in residential care.
At Fundación Leer, we know that access to books is not just about learning to read—it is about creating moments of connection, imagination, and emotional support. For children who grow up without parental care, these moments are especially important. A book can become a companion, a safe space, and a door to new possibilities.
We are currently working with the residential home to understand their specific needs, available space, and the interests of the children, so that the library we build truly belongs to them. Our team is also curating a high-quality selection of children’s books and designing reading activities that will encourage a love of reading for life.
This project is ready to begin as soon as we secure the first donations. Your support at this stage is crucial: early contributions will help us take the first concrete steps—setting up the reading space, delivering books, and training caregivers to promote reading every day.
By supporting this project, you are not only helping us build a library—you are helping create opportunities, emotional well-being, and a lifelong relationship with reading for children who need it the most.
We invite you to be part of this first step.
