Appeal from Sanober - My father led a selfless life; his last four years were dedicated to Medicare, where he galvanized its growth from a single hospital to a network of health facilities serving the underprivileged. Focused on ensuring safe birth and child care in poor communities, Medicare Health Foundation delivers an average of 1000 babies and over 150,000 patients a year. However, COVID-19 has changed the situation. Funds are drying up and your Zakat is needed to keep serving the poor.
In Pakistan, the public healthcare system is running over-capacity and the care available is not up to the mark. A large chunk of the population does not get proper medical care, resulting in poor health. Maternal, infant and child mortality rates are high in underprivileged communities. Medicare has provided hope to the poor by conducting safe birth, and ensuring the health of children & families in poor communities. But COVID-19 has resulted in fund shortages, desperately needed to carry on
Your Zakat will enable Medicare to keep serving the poor, and keep my father's hope alive, even as he rests peacefully. With funds available, for underprivileged populations, Medicare will conduct Normal Deliveries, C-Sections, Medical check-up of Children to provide preventive and curative care, and ensure the general health and well-being of the poor.
Around 150-200 non-affording expectant mothers will deliver their babies safely, and around 6000-8000 children will get their medical check-up for preventive and curative care.
