Uganda faces an urgent Ebola threat that requires immediate action to prevent further spread. This emergency response project will protect vulnerable communities through sensitization, public awareness, and grassroots health education. We will empower Village Health Teams (VHTs), use local FM radio broadcasts, and conduct community dialogues to provide life-saving information and stop Ebola transmission
Ebola outbreaks threaten lives and communities in Uganda. Misinformation, fear, stigma, and limited access to accurate health information can increase the spread of the virus. Many vulnerable communities lack awareness about prevention, symptoms, and the importance of early action.
We will respond through community-based Ebola prevention activities by training and empowering VHTs to conduct door-to-door education and distribute health materials, broadcasting Ebola awareness messages through FM radio stations, and holding community dialogues and school visits to dispel myths and build trust
To create informed, resilient, and Ebola-free communities in Uganda by strengthening community health awareness and preparedness against future outbreaks.
