Anderson tells us about his experience as an elementary school teacher in 2022.
During 2023, I felt very excited as the first day since the experience of being a teacher is a unique experience, it has given me the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and learn about the difficult realities that are lived in the country. I have learned to connect more with deep Peru and the various complex situations that are experienced and how to act in the face of these complexities, bringing out my human side, inviting me to have a commitment to the students and myself.
I have been very happy to get to know and be involved with the entire educational community. During the year I have felt my students very happy to be able to have that closeness with their friends as well as with the teachers and staff in general, many students want to make up for the time lost during the pandemic, academically. At the beginning of the school year I noticed that they were a little disoriented, but over time that situation changed and it is something that really gives me a lot of joy.
The main challenges I noticed at the beginning was that many of them were introverted, the girls and boys preferred to be alone or with few people around them, they felt comfortable being in small groups. This has been changing and today they share much more.
