Introducing basic electronics for high school students is to broaden their horizon and also to facilitate them them towards technical education. Understanding the basic electronics functioning and utilization, the students thus can get equipped for higher learning, if they choose to do so. Upgrading from traditional vocational education towards futuristic courses. The course will be introduced from 7th standard and taught till 9th standard with practicals using 15-20 audrino kits.
Students come from the villages and therefore have been imparting only traditional courses like electrical house wiring, horticulture etc. However, with avenues being opened up like never before and with internet penetration is narrowing the gap between cities and villages, it is imperative that new age courses to be introduced to these students, thus enabling to competing with children from privileged backgrounds.
Over the past few years, alumni have been pursuing technical education like polytechnic with mechanical, electrical, civil subjects. Only one alumna is taken electronics. Given that more number of girl students can pursue this subject and availability of jobs for such courses are on the rise, it will create opportunities as well as aspirations for girls.
56.12% of alumni are pursuing technical education/job 8.77% are self-employed 82.87% of the alumni continue to stay in the village eking a livelihood while being leaders for development is a testament of the efficacy of the high school.
