Our Director Daniel will on the 16th of January depart on a Sponsor Bike Tour. He will ride from Bangkok to Chiang Rai - a distance of about 850 km with around 7000 climbing meters. He will do that to finish the fundraising for our new Building. Currently we have raised 97.6% and our goal is to finish the fundraising with this bike tour. (Only 23000 USD missing) The tour will be challenging, lots of mountains and it is a great way to sponsor the building project!
We are working on our new building project to offer more vocational Training options to women coming out of the sex industry. We purchased our new building already and are currently renovating it. The money raised with this project will hopefully bring us over the finishing line of our fundraising goal. We need the building finished, so that we can start the new vocational training options.
With all the money for the renovation raised we can continue and finish the renovation project. Realistic goal for our new building to be in operation is about June 2022, at least that is what the builders are telling us currently. The Bike Ride is a creative way to fundraise the final meters before we reach the fundraising goal!
Our goal for the women is to be emotionally healthy, to be able to support themselves and their families, and to break the cycle of abuse and poverty. In-demand job skills, mentoring, and counseling the women, their children, and the greater community creates a healthy environment for them to live and to grow. These women can then become productive members of society, maybe return to their families, and to have a normal life outside of the sex industry.

Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically More Vocational Options through new Building. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
