Replace Tyres on van to monitor project ( #37898 )
( A microproject by Balajothi Centre for the Disabled Trust, India )
This microproject is now retired after raising $10
Balajothi’s primary focus is on providing therapy, medical advice and provisions to mentally disabled children from poor families, wherever they may be located. Once selected, they are grouped under our Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programs. A team formed for this purpose ensures that our mission is carried out satisfactorily, by visiting the CBR project sites and monitoring activities carried out by our field staff, for the benefit of the beneficiaries.
The microproject was conceived since the vehicle that is being used to transport children, caregivers and food material to the project areas is maintained fully fit to travel through rough areas, mostly through villages, and hence the van needed its wornout tyres to be replaced with new ones, having covered over one lakh kilometers. Replacing the existing worn out tyres will avoid frequent breakdowns, time delays and avoidable expenditure. Will also avoid fatigue and associated discomforts to special children travelling in the van.
Unfortunately the microproject could not meet its anticipated fund requirement within the stipulated period. We were able to raise a mere ten dollars when time ran out. No matter. We thank you, kind donor, for your generous donation towards this cause.
Our aim of replacing the existing worn out tyres continues to exist and we shall be posting a new project shortly. We hope and pray that this time round more donors will answer our call for support.
