This project will support plastic waste collection, sorting, recycling, and community education to recycle 100 tons of plastic waste. Through local participation and partnerships, the initiative will help create cleaner communities, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable waste management practices.
Plastic pollution is a growing challenge in Ghana, with large amounts of waste ending up in streets, drains, rivers, and public spaces. Poor waste disposal practices contribute to flooding, environmental damage, and health risks. Many communities lack access to effective recycling systems and awareness about proper waste management, allowing plastic waste to continue harming the environment.
The project will organize plastic waste collection activities, support sorting and recycling efforts, and educate communities on responsible waste disposal.
