Students at Promise can receive the opportunity to learn to make music in their Title I classrooms through GITC when you give! Their teachers voluntarily learn to sing, strum, write songs for learning, and infuse lessons with musical learning in our free classes. Your donation opens the door to music for them by providing instruments so each can fully participate. This project closes the opportunity gap so ALL students get an equal chance to play, sing, compose and practice at home and school!
Students at Promise may come from living situations challenged by housing and food insecurity or homelessness, family instability or separation, foster care, high unemployment, poverty, addiction, trauma and parent involvement in the justice system. This project provides mearningful, creative, restorative musical learning that helps them transcend suffering and aims to close the opportunity gap so ALL students get an equal chance to play, sing, compose and practice at home and school!
By gifting Students at Promise , you can provide what they need to learn to make music. Your SMALL gifts will make a huge difference thanks to companies who help us buy the instruments at their cost. $20 provides a ukulele for students in grades Tk-2. $30 provides a ukulele for students in grades 3-8. $50 provides a guitar for students in middle or high school to play each day in their newly re-opening classrooms and for those in social isolation, in their homes! Thank you for your care!
