Hi all,
Thank you so very much for enabling children in Uganda have lunch at school. Our project has purchased 08 bags of posho in a food store to be distributed to two schools to enable children have lunch at school, this is expected to improve on the school enrolment and performance dramatically as children will not need to attend class on empty stomchas.
Distributions of the food is awaiting approval from the Education department at the District, I will let you know one this is done, every school will be required to send a weekly food consumption report to enable us track.
"So far we are very grateful for this wonderful support because my children could not afford daily meals at school" said Sarah, one of the guardians at the community school that is receiving posho.
Many children in Uganda go to school on empty stomach as the government only provides school fees to them, this project will reduce on the problem. Globalkgiving donors like you through Mountains of Hope also pays for scholastic materials like books and Uniforms for these children.
