Thank you for your generous donation which has meant this project is now funded. AIL is going to wait until more funds are secured before purchasing sewing machines that way they will get a better deal.
Your gift will be life changing for many women. When a woman learns to sew she gains the ability to earn an income, raise her self esteem and her stature in her family. This is transformational. Often women who complete the sewing class go on to take other classes at centres such as literacy and math. Sewing is a gateway skill for women to more education and increased capacity.
