Many children diagnosed with cancer in Ghana cannot begin or complete treatment because their families cannot afford essential medications. This project by Adjah Cancer Support Ghana will provide life-saving chemotherapy drugs, pain relief, antibiotics, and supportive medicines to children in need. Your support will give these young fighters a real chance at survival and recovery.
Childhood cancer treatment in Ghana is often interrupted due to high medical costs. Many parents earn very little and struggle to afford chemotherapy drugs and essential supportive medications. Without timely access to these medicines, children experience severe complications, treatment delays, or loss of life. Hospitals frequently face shortages, making families even more vulnerable. No child should suffer or die simply because of financial barriers.
This project will purchase and supply essential cancer medications for children undergoing treatment. We will work directly with hospitals and oncology units to identify children in urgent need and provide chemotherapy drugs, pain management, antibiotics, anti-nausea drugs, and other supportive medicines. Funds raised will help bridge treatment gaps, prevent interruptions, and greatly improve survival and quality of life.
By ensuring that children can access consistent cancer medication, we increase their chance of full recovery and reduce preventable deaths. Families are relieved from impossible financial pressure, allowing them to focus on caring for their child. Over time, this project will contribute to improved childhood cancer outcomes in Ghana and help build stronger, more compassionate support systems for vulnerable families.
