This project is supporting 12 children for one school term. They make necklaces for sale to earn money for their school fees and other needs at home. For the last three months there have not been any sales made due to a high competition in the market. Globalgiving donors are already raising money to cater for the kids scholastic materials, they are raising money for the kid's school shoes, and they are also raising money for them to have the best Christmas this year.
Chances are high these kids may not go back to school next term that starts in February 2016 due to a lack of money to cater for their fees. Majority of rural children in Uganda do not complete education due to lack of school fees, these end up in the streets or begging, if these children do not go back to school next year, it means all the years they have spent in the home and at school will be wasted years.
This funding will enable 12 children go back to school for one term as the project finds another alternative to raise money locally to cater for the children's needs next year. Keeping children at school enables them to complete the education cycle, all these kids are bright and have kept on getting the best grades that have enabled them being promoted to new classes
The children have kept on making their own money for their education and other basic needs at home, they will grow up responsible men and women who will be job creators other than job seekers. The skills they get at school will enable them put in practice what they already practice at home.
