DAUSA provided response teams immediately as the storm passed. They literally cut their way through a back highway to the Galliano La Area all night as it was till raining. Ambulance services asked for chainsaw teams and backhoe teams to help clean roads so they could get the affect houses. The hospital was shut down and they were basically a traveling ER. The teams work continuously for 45 days as teams and team members rotated in and out from MO, LA, TX, OK, FL, and CA. DAUSA tarped over 100 houses cut countless tress off houses, cleared roads, delivered food, water, and gas to survivors. Muck and gut teams showed up gut houses and spray with mold killing agents. We had a logistics team traveling 8 hours to bring in supplies at regular intervals, We left one of our trailers filled with tools and supplies for the local Rotary clubs to use for 6 months while sending volunteers their way also. We helped fund several local Rotary club projects for families in need and donated a cargo trailer to the local Golden Meadow rotary club to be turned into a cooking trailer to provide meals during future disasters. We thank you for support and or retooling for this hurricane season now.
