Many vulnerable families in Ghana do not have reliable access to safe drinking water. They often depend on contaminated rivers, streams, and other unsafe sources for their daily needs. Drinking unsafe water contributes to preventable diseases, increases healthcare costs, keeps children out of school, and reduces productivity. Women and children are especially affected, often traveling long distances to collect water that is not safe for consumption.
