This project will provide sanitizers,masks and hand washing buckets to 300 vulnerable households in Uganda to enable them combat the spread of the corona virus. With the current lock down, curfew, businesses have closed down, so the majority of these people have lost their means of livelihood and are not able to make ends meet. More people are at a risk of contracting the virus due to lack of items like sanitizers,hand washing tins and soap.
There are so far 44 corona infections in Uganda as by 1St April 2020-(Ministry of Health report), these are mainly imported cases,unfortunately most of these infected have mixed up with their families and are continuing to mix up, these families donot have facilities to enable them wash their hands every time they come in contact with people more so that the president has declared a lock down and a curfew in the country
This project will buy hand washing buckets,soap,masks and sanitizers to be distributed to 300 families to help curb the problem
The government of Uganda has sensitized the people through various media and also declared lock down and a curfew all over the country for the benefit of the population.
