Before Covid, Chitra was helping her family survive by doing odd jobs. Covid hit the family finances hard with the loss of livelihood. That was the turning point for Chitra to discover she could do much more - she turned entrepreneur making seed balls, seed pencils, herbal fertilizers and insect repellants to sell. With her husband she also produces coco peat, vermicompost and natural manure to sell. Now all she needs is her own desktop to manage her orders, marketing and bookkeeping.
Chitra struggles to design her pencils, her branding and labeling. For every little media creation, she has to visit a net cafe with a desktop. If she get's her own, she could save money and time. That is all she needs to take her small business to the next level.
Chitra will be able to design, edit and finalize any branding and labeling her business products need on her own. She has learned to use a desktop, the software needed to design her branding all on her own. Our helping hand to get her a desktop and some basic software will go a long way in reducing her dependency on the net cafe desktop and free up some capital for other expenses.
Covid brought loss of livelihood in its wake for several families, including Chitra's. She decided to do something about it and grabbed the opportunity to start her own business. Voice Trust decided to support Chitra's endeavour and make her an example for women who want to take the lead toward leading independent lives, for women who can discover their entrepreneurial spirit and to prove that with a little help, women can create long term impact on their families and communities.
