Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Serendipity,
School has resumed from the break and lessons started in earnest. Asmau’s (Not real name) result for the second term came out with her having five credits and three passes. The collation of the result to move on to the next class is based on average and which will be collected at the end of the third term.
With your kind support and generous donations, we were able to pay all the outstanding school fees and dues, additional two pairs of uniform, two pairs of school sandals and school books. Although the distance to school is 1km from the village, she does not mind walking the distance as she does so with a smile.
With the rains that have commenced, Asmau’s mother has been able to secure a 100 hectare farm land on hire basis where she intends to plant Soya beans, Maize, Rice and Wheat; proceeds from the farm will be used to feed Asmau, her siblings and herself as well as take care of other house needs.
All the support and donation will go a long way in ensuring Asmau completes her high school education and proceed to the university to realize her dream of being a medical doctor thus making an impact in her community.
