Because of you, Ahlume has started at Queens College in Queenstown.
"My first term was good, though the first two weeks were tough, I kept getting lost and late for classes, but got used to it.
I started polevault and jumped 2.7 m but my official personal best was 2.3 meters at the Eastern Cape championships and I came fourth."
We would just like to point out Ahlume had never done pole vaulting before he went to Queens College!
"I also did well academically by getting 61% overall. Iam aiming to get higher marks on 2nd term."
Unfortunately, Covid19 derailed Ahlume's term 2, as South Africa started a severe lockdown on March 28th which saw schools closed for over three months. Finally, Ahlume will return to school next Monday, after doing his best working remotely over the lockdown period.
Because of you, Ahlume is meeting boys who are from all over South Africa, not just from his tiny village in Chintsa.
"At first I felt I was alone, but that now has changed. I have friends Malcaume, Asekhona, Chaze and Tyler. My favourite part of the school is recreational grounds, whenever I have a problem I talk to Mrs Loeist who is our hostel mistress, if I could be a principal, I would build swimming pools for the schools."
