A big thank you to all the supporters who made it possible for us to provide food to at least some families in Yangon. You have all made it possible to provide some families with the basic necessities for survival, at least for a few weeks. The money donated was spent on rice bags which were distributed to poor families in the slums of Yangon. The joy was great. We also made sure that each family received a raised bed with young plants so that some vegetables can be grown in addition to rice. In targeted workshops, the families learn how to plant the raised beds, how to water them and how to ensure that the vegetables grow. Already 2-3 weeks later, the first leafy vegetables could be harvested.
